About WCP Building Renewal

Since 2001, WCP Building Renewal has been working with Metro Vancouver’s best known companies, building owners and property managers, protecting and renewing buildings and facilities.

WCP Building Renewal does more than just commercial painting. Our professional project managers and technicians have the skills required to produce large scale restoration and specialty coating projects in addition to commercial painting. Our experience and continual investment in education and training means we utilize the latest coating systems, technology and operational procedures to ensure your project is completed efficiently, safely, on time and budget.

At this time, our team is growing and we are looking for a master of project management, logistics, and communication to join the team.  Most importantly, this person must have the right combination of DRIVE, SKILLS & ATTITUDE because our passion is creating opportunities for our people and solutions for our clients.

IN THE ROLE, YOU WILL BE: 

  • The primary point of contact for a portfolio of key accounts, building trusted partnerships through consistent engagement and communication.
  • Responsible for understanding your clients’ businesses, challenges, and goals, and aligning solutions to drive value and growth.
  • Managing the full client lifecycle, from onboarding and implementation to retention and expansion opportunities.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, such as sales, product, and technical support, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Conducting regular business reviews, identifying areas for improvement, and presenting strategic recommendations to optimize account performance.
  • Negotiating and managing contracts, renewals, and pricing discussions to achieve favorable terms and maximize revenue potential.
  • Monitoring account health, tracking key metrics, and developing action plans to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Maintaining accurate forecasting, reporting, and documentation to ensure compliance and visibility across stakeholders.
  • Serving as a client advocate, addressing concerns, resolving escalations, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Identifying and pursuing upsell and cross-sell opportunities within your account base to drive revenue growth.
  • Staying current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and product/service offerings to position your accounts for success.
  • Contributing to the development of best practices, process improvements, and knowledge-sharing within the account management team.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 5+ years in Accounts Management roles in building renewal, commercial painting or restoration projects
  • Proven experience in managing client renewals and driving high retention rates within an existing account base.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing targeted renewal strategies, including identifying at-risk accounts, proactively addressing concerns, and positioning value propositions for continued partnerships.
  • Experience in analyzing historical data, usage metrics, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and tailor renewal proposals accordingly.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to navigate complex renewal discussions, addressing objections, and securing favorable terms for both parties.
  • Familiarity with pricing models, contractual terms, and compliance requirements related to renewals and amendments.
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as sales, product, and legal, to ensure seamless renewal processes and continuity of service delivery.
  • Proficiency in forecasting and pipeline management, with the ability to accurately project renewal revenue and manage associated risks.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate the long-term value proposition and return on investment to stakeholders at various levels.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, trends, and competitor offerings to position renewal proposals effectively and maintain a competitive edge.
  • A track record of establishing trust and credibility with clients, positioning yourself as a strategic partner and advocate for their ongoing success.
  • Strong project management skills to coordinate and oversee the execution of complex renewal initiatives, ensuring timely completion and adherence to established timelines.
  • Familiarity with customer success methodologies and the ability to leverage data-driven insights to optimize renewal strategies and drive customer lifetime value.

The Really Nice to Haves: 

  • Proficiency in using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, or industry-specific CRM solutions.
  • Experience with CLM tools like Docusign for efficient contract creation, negotiation, and renewal management.
