Peace Portal Alliance Church: Sealant replacement & building envelope repair

WCP Building Renewal completed a full exterior renovation of Peace Portal Alliance Church, restoring the building envelope and improving its long-term performance.

The project began with a detailed assessment of deteriorating wood siding. Our team removed and replaced failing materials, reframed openings where needed, and installed a new weather protection system, including building paper, flashings, and a rainscreen assembly.

To reduce future exterior maintenance, old rotting siding was replaced with durable Hardie board and batten cladding.

Concrete surfaces were also restored, with targeted repairs to address cracking, spalling, and delamination, thus improving both structural integrity and appearance.

We completed caulking and sealant replacement at all windows and key transitions to improve waterproofing, leak protection, and energy performance. The project was finished with high-performance exterior paint systems, providing long-lasting protection against weather and UV exposure.

The result is a refreshed, well-protected building with improved durability, reduced maintenance needs, and a renewed presence for the congregation and community.
