Introducing the PROTECH Warranty & Maintenance Program

Introducing the PROTECH Warranty & Maintenance Program

Protecting your investment. Simplifying your building renewal.

At WCP Building Renewal, we’re often asked what sets us apart from other contractors, and the answer lies in our our full suite of building renewal services, the WCP Process, and our PROTECH warranty and maintenance program.

1. Comprehensive Building Renewal Services

We provide a full range of building restoration and renewal services — including concrete, wood, stucco, and metal restoration, waterproofing, membranes, sealants/caulking, and painting. We work with property managers and building owners on a range of building types, including high- and mid-rise properties, strata complexes, warehouses, and commercial properties. We call this integrated offering Building Renewal.

2. The WCP Process

Our seven-step project delivery system, refined through over 20 years and 4,500+ projects, ensures your restoration or painting project is delivered on time, on budget, and on spec. We support our clients through every stage of the process—from the initial request and consultation to pre-production and final close-out—ensuring a smooth experience with one dedicated representative throughout.

3. Our PROTECH Warranty & Maintenance Program

Our industry-leading warranty and proactive maintenance support help clients maximize the value and service life of their building renewal investment. No other building renewal and painting company in Vancouver offers a comprehensive package like ours, with up to a 5-year warranty, 2-year maintenance follow-ups, detailed completion certificates, and detailed maintenance manuals that provide a clear plan to keep your building in exceptional shape

Together, these three pillars—along with decades of experience—give WCP Building Renewal a measurable advantage in protecting your building.

Let’s take a closer look at the key features of our PROTECH Warranty and Maintenance Program, such is a valuable part of your building renewal or painting project.

1. Five-Year Labour & Material Warranty

We offer up to a five-year warranty on labour and materials—more than double the industry standard. Whether it’s caulking the perimeters of your high-rise windows, applying membrane systems to balconies, or repainting an entire strata townhouse complex, we back our work with confidence.

How do we offer such a strong warranty?

Because we don’t cut corners, with over two decades of experience, highly trained technicians, and premium materials, our work is built to last, and our warranty reflects that.

We work closely with our suppliers to ensure access to the latest building materials, along with the knowledge and training required to apply and install them professionally. Over the past two decades, we’ve also developed a trusted range of products—including membranes, sealants, paints, primers, and specialty coatings—that have been thoroughly tested and proven to stand the test of time when properly installed.

Our production team participates in ongoing training in technical skills, safety, and building materials. Staying current with the latest building science ensures we consistently deliver exceptional results. In fact, many of our painters and building renewal technicians have been with us for over a decade—something rare in the construction industry. This level of experience and continuity gives us the confidence to offer extended warranties, because we know the work is done right.

2. Complimentary Building Inspection – 24 Months Post-Completion

This hassle-free inspection offers valuable peace of mind. Strata councils and building owners no longer need to wonder what’s happening on their building envelope—we’ll take a look and report back with clear, actionable findings. Our inspection covers key components of your envelope system, including membranes, sealants, paint, and substrate materials like concrete, brick, or stucco.

At the Inspection, our team will:

  • Check for early signs of wear, weathering, or failure
  • Flag potential future concerns
  • Provide a rough scope of work and budgetary pricing (if needed)

At our 2-year inspection, we take detailed photos and build a report that property managers, building owners, and strata councils can use to help plan future projects. If we come across any issues outside our scope, we’ll document them and, where possible, refer you to one of our trusted affiliated trades. This inspection provides peace of mind and serves as a valuable planning tool for depreciation reports, upcoming projects, and strata budgeting. It’s a smart, proactive approach—helping you stay ahead, not behind.

3. Completion Certificate & Records Package

Introducing the PROTECH Warranty & Maintenance Program

At project closeout, you’ll receive a Completion Certificate that includes:

  • A full list of materials used (sealants, membranes, coatings, paint, etc.)
  • Color codes, product specs, and supplier details
  • Warranty period and terms
  • A copy of your proposal/contract and final statement of account

All in one document. If you ever need a touch-up or repair down the road, you (or a future property manager) have all the info on hand—including product specs, paint codes, membrane types, and service history. And if you misplace it? We keep a digital copy on file—just call or email, and we’ll send it over. This ensures continuity, reduces guesswork, and saves time on future maintenance or warranty claims. It’s a valuable resource that helps maintain your building’s condition, supports budgeting, and simplifies decision-making over the long term.

4. Easy-to-Follow Maintenance Manual

Introducing the PROTECH Warranty & Maintenance Program

You’ll also receive a custom maintenance manual tailored to your project. It outlines:

  • What areas and materials did we work on
  • How to inspect those areas
  • What to look for (and when)
  • Service life estimates and low-cost maintenance tips
  • A recommended annual maintenance checklist

Items and systems detailed in the maintenance manual

  • Substrates like concrete, stucco, wood, and brick
  • Paint and coating systems
  • Membranes
  • Sealant for windows, expansion, and control joints

This manual provides a detailed breakdown of the lifecycle of your Building Renewal and Painting project from year 1 through year 10. It outlines the key components to inspect, monitor, and maintain, so nothing gets overlooked. Whether it’s a high-rise envelope restoration or a commercial repaint, the goal is simple: extend the life of your investment, preserve the integrity of your building, and make it easier to plan routine maintenance before minor issues turn into major repairs. With clear timelines and practical checklists, the manual empowers property managers and building owners to stay proactive, informed, and in control.

Protech: Why It Matters

Strata councils, building owners, and property managers don’t just want a contractor—they want a partner who helps them manage their buildings responsibly. The PROTECH Warranty & Maintenance Program:

  • Reduces unplanned repair costs
  • Supports capital planning and reserve fund forecasts
  • Ensures long-term performance
  • Makes future maintenance simple and trackable

In an industry where many contractors walk away after the final invoice, we stay with you, years after the work is done. Our scheduled inspections, digital documentation, and proactive reporting help prevent surprises and extend the life of your building envelope. It’s not just about completing the job—it’s about adding long-term value, earning your trust, and protecting your investment.
